Who ever said that eating healthy has to be expensive? Or taste bad? Here at The First Edition Cafe we offer menu items prepared with fresh whole-food ingredients, made with love, and at the lowest prices in OKC. Anything out of a can, box, or bag just won't do for us - and why would we want to sell unhealthy junk food to you? If we wouldn't eat it - we don't expect our customers to. We try to purchase organic when affordable and available (we're a very small business - we do everything we can - when we can.)
America is evolving into a more health conscious society, and we're realizing that these big time dollar-hungry-corporate-food-chains may not necessarily have our best health interests in mind. We totally do, and you can tell by the food! True everything we serve is not healthy, but there has got to be balance, we think. We can't all be perfect all of the time, and we'll be the first to admit. Healthy living/eating habits don't just happen overnight. You really have to work on them constantly to gain the positive results you want. Come show us your support OKC! BONUS - for giving us a few minutes of your time - mention you read this blog and receive a 10% discount on your next purchase at the cafe!
Very refreshing message and/or mission statement. Truthful. Not hiding behind popular media's (and associated businesses) banter about healthy and "organic sustainability" without their true dedication. Totally agree that there are fiscal realities in running a business. Your message should inspire businesses of any magnitude to understand that the consumer at large is...intelligent. This message recognizes the premise and shows your patrons respect.
